Rough Water Floating Docks
DockinaBox® rough water floating docks utilize a frame system, which is made of a monolithic, heavy wall tubing. You can choose from 16” tubing or larger depending on the freeboard you require. The combination of both structures gives the dock system outstanding long-term stability and reliability.
Unlike other manufacturers, DockinaBox® has designed an expansion/contraction connection at each mounting point. This, combined with the patented breathable air membrane allows air to go in and out but not water.
One of our most popular floating decking choices utilizes a medium weight non-recycled wood/polyethylene composite, which has better qualities than other recycled composites. It has excellent traction when wet, yet feels very comfortable on the feet and is not hot when in direct sunlight. This type of composite has a very natural wood-like colour and may be preferred for a more natural surface.
The second type of floating dock decking choice that DockinaBox® sells is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic panels, which is considerably lighter. This product is called DeckWave™ and is even more manageable as it is 1/3 the weight of most other decking panels. The DeckWave™ panels have a semi-open grid pattern, which allows light and water to pass through naturally. This is a popular choice for environmentally conscious areas. Both decking options will considerably outlast any cedar or wood type decking choice on the market. All DockinaBox® dock systems are in a kit form and are easy to transport and put together. The decking panels can be removed easily, making the dock frame lightweight for spring and fall installation and removal. Due to the custom nature of this system, pricing is done on a per project basis. Please contact us for more information.
