Pipe Docks
The DockinaBox® modular pipe dock systems are exceptionally versatile due to angled (canted) pipe legs. It is very evident when compared to other docks that these stabilizing legs allow for a greater height to width ratio while maximizing structural strength. They provide even more stability than other dock systems especially in deep water depths up to 8 ft. or more. This is not possible or recommended by other dock manufacturers.
Consumers have the choice of two decking products for their dock system. One is a medium weight premium wood/polyethylene composite, which has better qualities than any other recycled composites. It has excellent traction when wet, yet feels very comfortable on the feet and is not hot when in direct sunlight. This type of composite has a very natural wood like color and may be preferred for a more natural surface. It also has a density heavier than water, so unlike wood, the panels cannot float the dock away.
The second type of decking available is made of fiber reinforced plastic which is considerably lighter than composite. The product is called DeckWave® and is even more manageable since it is 1/3 the weight of most other decking panels.
The DeckWave® panels have a semi-open grid pattern which allows light and water to pass through naturally. This is a popular choice for environmentally sensitive areas. For more information on DeckWave®, please visit www.deckwave.com
Both decking options will considerably outlast cedar or wood type decking available from other manufactures. All DockinaBox® dock systems are in a kit form and are easy to transport and assemble. The decking panels can be removed easily making the dock frame lightweight for spring and fall installation and removal.
